The Grade II listed St Aloysius’ Catholic Church, built in 1875 is the only Roman Catholic Church in Oxford.
Visual Energy worked on the luxurious lighting design for the restoration of the side chapels and vestry. This heritage lighting project had to be sensitive of the historical architecture and designed to blend in seamlessly. Visual Energy carefully concealed lights to achieve indirect, yet dramatic lighting to highlight the colourful decorative Italianate features. The bright blue feature ceiling in the side chapel was brought to life with subtle, carefully positioned uplights. Light also filled the grand, ornate ceiling of the Vestry and was focussed on statues and icons.
Visual Energy specialises in traditional & heritage lighting, along with architectural lighting in the UK and worldwide. View our portfolio for heritage lighting inspiration & contact us for more information.
